Registration without student user ID

Persons who would like to register for Stud.IP but are not matriculated yet and thus do not have a student user ID are requested to contact a lecturer or tutor of the course. Employees of the university and lecturers are requested to contact the administrator of the respective institute or faculty (as listed here) or the Stud.IP help desk (studip@uni-goettingen.de).

Transition to encrypted login

Login to Stud.IP is possible via an encrypted connection, only. Because encryption is based on so-called security certificates possibly not installed on some user systems some error messages might occur upon login. In case the login does not work right away, please follow the instructions:

1. By click on the following link you will import the root certificate "Deutsche Telekom Root CA2":
   http://ca.gwdg.de/certs/root-DGP/deutsche-telekom-ca2-root-cert.der
2. Check "Trust this CA, ..." and confirm by pressing OK.
3. By click on the following link you will import the certificate "Universitaet-Goettingen CA":
   https://pki.pca.dfn.de/uni-goettingen-ca/pub/cacert/cacert.crt
4. Check "Trust this CA, ..." and confirm by pressing OK.
